Разглеждайки стари архиви със снимки, ние попаднахме на изображение на забавно и смарт транспортно устройство, изобретено в началото на XX век.

Това беше единично колело, побиращо един пътник-шофьор, който изглеждаше толкова доволен от себе си, седнал в любопитното си устройство, че не можахме да не измислим една за нашата колекция. Ние разширихме проучването си, за да открием още за едноколесните механизми и открихме такива, които въобще нямат оператор, разработени като военни машини и изцяло покрити в броня. Това, което наистина ни вдъхнови, беше сходен подход към използваната трансмисия, използван във всички прототипи, стартирайки от 1860-те години, подвижен външен елемент със стационарен механизъм в него.

Our calm minds long to create, and curiosity has taken over these two prototypes and today we proudly present the all-wooden mechanical Mono wheel!
Bumper not included – the new Mono wheel is built in skeletal steampunk style, which means you can see and enjoy the beauty of moving wheels. Despite its airy delicate appearance, your new model is quite strong – you can take it out and turn it nicely on the pavement and other hard and semi-hard surfaces.

The parts of the mechanism imitate a real steam engine. The lack of an outer shell gives easy access to rubber bands if you need to replace them.

Both operating modes guarantee even more fun. Mode one with locked legs will give you continuous rolling straight forward for about 1.5 – 2 meters (5.7-7.6 feet), while the resource of the bike with a rubber band is completely exhausted. The model then gracefully rotates and stops.

In the second mode with your feet in the unlocked position, your Mono wheel will roll forward while the elastic motor is running. He then turns, his legs hidden inside, and the model continues to roll until he encounters an obstacle. In this mode, the model can cover up to 5 meters, which inspired us to play mechanical bowling, using our new model as a bowling ball. We recommend this new sport to all your friends!

As for the technical features: the Ugears Mono Wheel Kit comes in 300 parts, including 19 spare parts. The assembled model measures 185 x 95 x 160 mm and, like all Ugears family models, is made of high-end wood with a sustainable source and has everything you need for assembly. The quality of the parts is first class: a laser method is used to cut the items from plywood board, which provides precise cuts. The details must be removed from the boards and assembled to create a complete model. Like all other Ugears models, the Mono Wheel comes with colorful, really easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions in 11 languages ​​(English, German, Ukrainian, French, Polish, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Italian, Chinese and Korean) and requires no no glue, no special tools,
